She asks to do this regularly, but I don't do a good enough job of following her lead and responding to her interests by preparing the environment to allow this to happen easily and regularly. I read this blog for inspiration, education, ideas, etc. Today it was like another reminder from the Universe, saying, "Follow the child!" in this very specific category that is, frankly, out of alignment here at home. The rest of our house is "Montessori-ized" to one degree or another, but the food prep just isn't part of our world yet. It will be now.
